Drawing plays a crucial role in Mac Manus’ work. He spends hours each day drawing, as he did from the great master originals in Rome and Florence. Now that he is based in Dublin he works from the best the city has to offer so as to inspire and contribute to the reservoir of form needed to draw from in his contemporary work. When possible he returns to Italy to deepen his understanding of beauty and power in the great masterpieces of figurative art. |
